Job summary

American Games, located in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to lead production on multi-color sheet-fed presses. You will ensure top print quality, maintain presses, and mentor apprentices on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting presses, coordinating with Pre-Press and Maintenance, and upholding safety and scheduling standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience operating and maintaining multi-color sheet-fed offset printing presses.
• Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, pre-press, press operation, color management, and post-press production.
• Experience using color control densitometers and interpreting print quality data.
• Ability to read production schedules, job tickets and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, calibrate and maintain multi-color sheet-fed offset presses.
• Adjust plates, ink fountains, rollers and press settings for precise color and registration.
• Monitor print quality and make real-time adjustments to meet specs.
• Inspect materials for color accuracy, registration and overall quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine press repairs.
• Collaborate with Pre-Press, Production and Maintenance teams to meet deadlines.
• Train and support Press Apprentices and Helpers in safety and standards.
