A leading research institution in Boulder, Colorado is seeking an ocean modeling Scientist to conduct innovative research in ocean model development and facilitate collaboration within the Community Earth System Model framework. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in physical oceanography or related field and experience in ocean modeling. This position offers a 12-month base salary support and opportunities for scientific contributions at national and international levels.
Qualifications
Experience in ocean modeling and interpretation of models in relation to CESM and related frameworks is preferred.
Responsibilities
Conduct original, independent and collaborative research in ocean model development.
Lead and facilitate collaborative research on the incorporation of new ocean dynamical cores.
Communicate scientific results through publications and presentations.
Coordinate activities with ocean modeling partners.
Collaborate with new Project Scientists and Software Engineers.
