The Lead Occupational Therapist at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital leads patient care for occupational therapy, overseeing assessment, treatment plan development, implementation, and revision across the lifespan.
In addition to direct clinical care, the role participates in interdepartmental programs and serves as a clinical instructor in student affiliation programs, supporting education and clinical excellence.

The lead staff occupational therapist is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, development, implementation, and revision of treatment programs as necessary. The lead occupational therapist is also responsible for providing occupational therapy to patients/customers throughout the lifespan and able to provide age-specific direct care/services to this population. In addition, the lead occupational therapist participates in clinical programs and interdepartmental activities within the organization. They also function as a clinical instructor in the student affiliation program.
