Job summary

Alteryx, Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior software engineer to develop, analyze, and maintain release tooling for hardware or software products. You will work with project teams to set schedules and support packaging and deployment.

You will be an in-house expert on advanced technical topics, lead large projects, coach junior staff, and help improve processes while solving complex issues with state-of-the-art knowledge.

Qualifications

• May possess four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field).
• Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.
• Writes installation scripts and programs for installation of products.
• Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process.
• Compiles and assembles software from source code.
• Ensures tools are stored in source control.
• Supports developers for software package registry and delivery.
• Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.
• Works with development engineers to correct build errors
• Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.
• Manages large projects or processes.
• Limited oversight from manager.
• Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

Salary & Compensation

• Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
• The base salary range for this role in the United States is $165,000 to $185,000.
• This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 20% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.
• In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:
• A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses
• An annual $200 home office reimbursement
