Howard University Hospital seeks a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to oversee radiology operations and perform OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, and related tests. You will coordinate daily workflow, assign staffing, and ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety in a teaching hospital setting in Washington, DC.

The position requires ARDMS and BLS certification, 3–5 years of experience, and leadership skills to mentor staff while maintaining compassionate patient care.

Qualifikationen

• Associates Degree (AA) in Radiology or equivalent from a two year college or hospital-based program.
• Three to five years prior experience required.
• ARDMS and BLS certification required; General, Vascular and OB/GYN desired.

Aufgaben

• Lead team of technical professionals to achieve department goals and initiatives.
• Perform OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stress tests and AFIs.
• Assist with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures.
• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing coverage across radiology areas.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensure safety and comfort, and document findings for physicians.
