Lead Nutrition Services - Elementary - Central Kitchen - 40 Hours/Week (Current Employees)

About the Employer: The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) serves a diverse population of over 36,000 PK-12 students across various educational settings, including one early childhood learning center, 24 elementary schools, five K-8 schools, six middle schools, five high schools, and one alternative high school. Job Description / Essential Elements:

Under the supervision of an assigned Nutrition Services Supervisor, the Lead Nutrition Services worker will:

  1. Lead and participate in the preparation and sale of food products at an elementary school.
  2. Coordinate inventory, sanitation, and record-keeping functions.
  3. Train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.
Education / Experience:

Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of increasingly responsible food service experience.

Licenses and Other Requirements:

Incumbents must adhere to the annual minimum required training hours for School Nutrition Staff per USDA standards and hold a current ServSafe certificate or equivalent (California Retail Food Code).
