Job summary

Salinas Valley Health seeks a Head Nutrition Services Aide in the Nutritional Services department. Under supervision of Nutrition Services/Assistant Director/Supervisors, you perform a wide range of food service tasks, ensure safety, sanitation and infection control per policies.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a California Food Handler Card, and a valid driver's license along with at least five years in institutional food service and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• California Food Handler Card required; ANSI training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum five years in institutional food service; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all daily restock responsibilities.
• Participates in ongoing education activities.
• Operates standard kitchen equipment and office tools.
• Demonstrates quality service and food safety practices.
• Maintains sanitary and orderly work areas.
• Provides leadership in the absence of a supervisor to ensure staffing and task completion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
