Lead Nurse Navigator - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Position Overview

This role offers leadership development opportunities within patient navigation, serving as a resource for associates in communication, scheduling, coaching, mentoring, and orientation. The Lead RN Navigator does not have hiring or disciplinary authority but may be consulted on such matters by higher management.

Key Responsibilities

• Address healthcare disparities and barriers to care, facilitate communication across care continuum, coordinate resources, and advocate for patients.
• Participate in clinical care aspects as needed.
• Communicate effectively and confidentially with patients and team members.
• Record and document information accurately in electronic medical records.
• Exhibit professionalism and compassion to reduce patient anxieties and ensure cooperation.
• Demonstrate leadership by communicating with staff, physicians, and external stakeholders.
• Assist in developing clinic guidelines and oversee quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote teamwork and patient-centered care.
• Attend meetings, serve on committees, and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, emergency procedures, and HIPAA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
