Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Nurse to lead our Emergency Room (ER) team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and a calm, decisive presence in high-pressure situations.

As the Lead Nurse, you will oversee daily operations within the emergency department, ensuring optimal patient flow, staff coordination, and adherence to clinical protocols. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members is essential to support timely and effective care for patients with critical health concerns.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and support staff during shifts
  • Coordinate patient care activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and continuity of care
  • Mentor ER staff, promoting professional development and adherence to best practices
  • Monitor staff needs and patient acuity, adjusting as necessary to maintain care quality
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure clarity and compassionate care
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (VISA sponsorship not available)
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or MSN)
  • Current CEUs as required by state licensure
  • Active nursing license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS and ACLS certificates; PALS within 6 months of hire
  • At least five years of recent emergency, medsurg/telemetry, or critical care experience
  • Lead/charge nurse experience required
