Job summary

The Supervisory Nuclear Medicine Technologist at the Saginaw VA Medical Center oversees the Nuclear Medicine and related Technician staff, ensuring safe, efficient patient care and adherence to QA standards. This role includes planning, training, and directing the Radiology quality improvement program.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; telework is not available. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert and liaison for policy and interdepartmental coordination

Qualifications

• Certification in nuclear medicine technology by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• Completion of an NM program or JRCNMT-accredited program leading to certificate/degree.
• English proficiency in accordance with VA requirements.
• Grandfathering provision may apply for current VA employees.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Nuclear Medicine technologists and Medical Instrument Technicians (Ultrasound & Echocardiography).
• Develop and implement training; ensure competencies and proper staffing.
• Lead Radiology quality improvement, QA guidelines, and performance reports.
