Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in northern Illinois is seeking a nuclear medicine technologist for a 100% FTE day shift, Monday through Friday. Work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford with potential duties at a secondary facility.

Strong emphasis on patient care, safety, and compliance with ARRT/NMTCB certifications. The position offers competitive pay, PTO, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed an accredited nuclear medicine technology program or military training, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting.
  • Must provide copy of high school diploma or equivalent or highest level of completed degree obtained.
  • Certification by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 90 days is required.
  • Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) is required.

Education

Accredited nuclear medicine technology program
Military nuclear medicine technology training program
Two years of related clinical experience in a military setting
HS diploma or equivalent

Job description

Work Schedule

100% FTE, full-time. Day shift, M-F 8 hour shifts. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital, potentially one day per week at the UW Health N Bell School Rd Medical Center.


Additional components of compensation may include:


  • Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

  • Overtime

  • On-call pay

Qualifications


  • Completed an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, a recognized military nuclear medicine technology training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required

  • MustprovidecopyofHSdiplomaorequivalent,orhighestlevelofcompleteddegreeobtained. Required


Work Experience


  • Experience as a hospital nuclear medicine technologist. Required

  • Two years of clinical experience. Required

  • Experience in a lead or supervisor position in medical imaging. Preferred


Licenses & Certifications


  • Certification by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or current NMTCB certification. Required

  • CPR/BLS certification. within 90 Days Required

  • Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency). Required
