Job summary

Kiddie Academy of North Albuquerque is seeking a NM Pre-K Lead Teacher to provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment and lead planning, management and supervision of the classroom. This role ensures NM Pre-K standards are met and collaborates with parents and staff for ongoing learning.

The position offers full-time, year-round employment with benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lead preschool teacher.
• Must have bachelor's degree in early childhood education.
• Must meet all state licensing requirements for position.
• Must be able to obtain a clear background check.
• Must have or obtain the training each year required by state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all curriculum, assessment and documentation for a NM Pre-K classroom are met by deadline.
• Ensures that the physical, social, and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
• Ensures all policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are implemented.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Ensures compliance with licensing, NAEYC and NM State Pre-K.
• Completes all Academy, licensing, NAEYC and classroom paperwork.
• Constantly engages with children on the playground as an extension of the classroom.
• Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
