Job summary

Chelsea Piers Field House is seeking energetic coaches to run youth sports events and birthday parties in New York. You should love working with children, possess athletic ability, and communicate well with guests while delivering engaging activities.

Responsibilities include leading ninja warrior-style activities, maintaining safety and a positive atmosphere, and collaborating with lead and junior staff. A flexible schedule across weekends and weekdays is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year coaching/instructing/working with children aged 2–13.
• Experience in ninja warrior training, obstacle course racing, parkour, or gymnastics.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor.

About The Opportunity

The Chelsea Piers Field House is looking for energetic coaches to work youth sports events and birthday parties. Candidates should be passionate about working with children, have athletic ability, and possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities for kids and teens during weekend birthday parties
• Lead ninja warrior-style party activities, including obstacle courses, agility drills, and warrior challenges suited to varying ability levels
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times, alongside lead and junior staff
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staff
• Remain positive and calm during events
• Additional weekday & weekend shifts for classes and youth & adult events will be available

Qualifications

About You:

You are punctual, dependable, and energetic. You have experience working with children ages 2-13 and have a flexible schedule.

• Ability to work at least five weekend days a month.
• A minimum of one year of experience coaching/instructing/working with children between the ages of 2-13 and/or young adults.
• Experience as a coach, athlete, or participant in ninja warrior training, obstacle course racing, parkour, or gymnastics.
• Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• An outgoing, energetic personality and enjoy working in a team environment.
