Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a software-focused systems engineer to drive technical planning, requirements decomposition, and interface definition for software-intensive subsystems during the TMRR phase. You will define NH&S environments, translate requirements into designs, and perform radiation effects analysis to influence architecture decisions.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, and supporting qualification testing per MIL standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM disciplines or higher with significant relevant experience.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience using circuit modeling tools such as PSPICE and radiation effects modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead software-focused systems engineering activities during the TMRR phase, aligning with program objectives.
• Perform requirements decomposition and interface definition for software-intensive subsystems.
• Define NH&S environments and translate requirements into software/hardware interfaces.
• Conduct radiation transport modeling and assess radiation effects on electronics and software-controlled systems.
• Plan and support NH&S and EEE parts qualification testing per MIL standards.
