Job summary

Universal DX is seeking an experienced Principal NGS Automation Architect to lead automated NGS lab workflows for IVD development, validation, and commercialization. You will bridge assay development, operations, automation engineering, software, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure compliant automated solutions.

The role requires hands-on liquid handling method development, systems-level architecture for NGS, and strong understanding of molecular assays in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience automating laboratory workflows for molecular diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with liquid handling robotics and automation systems.
• Knowledge of IVD, CLIA, CAP, or FDA-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end automation architecture for NGS sample prep and QC workflows.
• Evaluate and implement automation platforms and supporting tech.
• Develop strategies to maximize throughput, robustness, and efficiency.
• Translate assay requirements into automated workflows with analytical performance.
