Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a News Editor to lead the Lifestyle and Celebrity verticals in New York. You will steer editorial vision, manage a team of writers, and guide coverage for Unique Homes, Celebrity Homes, and Living.

You will report to the VP, Editorial and Content, coordinating with cross-functional teams to secure exclusive stories and grow brand reach in celebrity real estate content.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience as a senior reporter.
• Two years’ experience as a news editor with management at a major news organization.
• Full-time experience in homepage curation at a major news organization.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Set the editorial direction and day-to-day content calendar for Celebrity Homes, Unique Homes and Living verticals.
• Provide strategic planning, editorial direction, idea generation, copy editing, and direct writing support as needed.
• Manage coverage priorities and balance quick-turn stories with bigger editorial swings.
• Track exclusive celebrity real estate stories and grow Realtor.com's footprint.
• Launch and maintain recurring content franchises with distinct identities.
• Use internal analytics to shape editorial choices.
• Partner with editors and cross-functional teams to reach wide audiences.
