Insurity’s NextLead Network Security Engineer

The Lead Network Security Engineer works as part of a dynamic team and is responsible for all things perimeter security. You will work with infrastructure and application teams to aid in design and provide solutions to technical networking problems. In this role, the person will also be responsible for customer requests which include whitelisting, vpns and debugging. As the Lead, the person will be responsible for maintenance, sizing and monitoring of devices and ensuring we are continuously monitoring the perimeter.

What Our Lead Network Security Engineer Will Do

• Create and maintain a remediation roadmap of Gaps, improvements and cost overruns
• Configuration and Maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls and WAF's
• Objects
• Policies / rules
• Updates
• Vpns
• certificates
• Automation of redundant tasks via scripts
• Daily health checks
• Traffic reports
• Policy sync
• Certificates

• Create / manage network diagrams & SOP’s
• Participate in Production support maintenance
• Immersion into Insurity products and solutions to ensure depth of product understanding, tools of qualifying opportunities, differentiations to competitive offers, and how to maximize impact for client.
• Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

• 10+ years network security experience
• 5+ years WAF / Checkpoint NGFW
• Experience creating and managing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Insurance experience preferred
• CCSE [R81.20]
• Experience with SDLC methodologies such as SCRUM, Agile, DevOps
