Job summary

MidFirst Bank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote sites. The role emphasizes Cisco and Fortinet platforms, SD-WAN and modern architectures to ensure security and reliability.

You will lead initiatives, document networks, and collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams. This on-site position requires US-based experience and residency in the market area.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure roles.
• CCNP/CCDP certified; CCIE/CCDE preferred; NSE 5/7 preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking platforms (Catalyst/Nexus/ISR).
• Hands-on Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, Fortiswitch, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Strong routing (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP) and switching (VLANs, STP, port-channeling).
• Experience with SD-WAN deployments and operations; SASE concepts.
• VXLAN/EVPN architectures in data centers; strong troubleshooting and docs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote locations
• Engineer and support Cisco-based routing and switching environments (LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Deploy and manage Fortinet security and network platforms, including firewalls and SD-WAN solutions
• Lead and support initiatives involving SASE architectures, Zero Trust networking, and cloud connectivity
• Design and implement VXLAN / EVPN-based network segmentation and data center fabrics
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance and availability issues across the enterprise
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure and resilient connectivity
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies aligned to enterprise strategy
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident response as required

Job description

MidFirst Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineerto support and evolve the enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational support of complex networking environments, with a strong emphasis on Cisco and Fortinet technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in routing, switching, and modern network architectures, including SD-WAN, SASE, and VXLAN, and will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the bank’s network environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote locations
• Engineer and support Cisco-based routing and switching environments(LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Deploy and manage Fortinet security and network platforms, including firewalls and SD-WAN solutions

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in:
• Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Switching technologies (VLANs, STP, port-channeling)
• Network security and segmentation principles
• Experience with SD-WAN deployments and operations
• Working knowledge of SASE concepts and cloud-integrated networking models
• Experience with VXLAN / EVPN architecturesin data center environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across layered network environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications ( CCDP or CCIE )
• Fortinet NSE certifications ( NSE 7 or higher or FCX )
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid network architectures
• Experience with automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)
