Job summary

The Talent Mine is seeking an Software Engineer Team Lead with hardware integration experience to join our clients in Utah. You will be hands-on leading a team, bridging software with PLCs, equipment, and industrial platforms using C# and .NET.

You will mentor developers, design enterprise and manufacturing apps, and collaborate with production, controls, and operations to deliver high-value solutions. The role requires in-person work five days a week at Brigham City, Utah or other locations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or software development projects.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise applications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience integrating software with hardware, industrial devices, or production equipment.
  • Experience with Ignition and/or Litmus platforms.
  • Experience with OPC-UA, MQTT, REST APIs, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience developing shop‑floor applications, MES systems, or Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions.
  • Experience working with manufacturing telemetry, data historians, Grafana, InfluxDB, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Experience with Blazor, WPF, web technologies, and cloud‑hosted solutions.
  • Understanding of OT/IT networking and industrial cybersecurity principles.

The Talent Mine is recruiting an immediate FTE role for a Software Engineer Team Lead with hardware integration experience. This is for the largest recycler of any material in the western hemisphere, where teamwork, safety and innovation are at the core of our client's values. Overview

As a Software Engineer Team Lead, you will be a hands‑on technical leader, using your C#/.NET development experience to connect software with the shop floor. You’ll help drive solutions that integrate PLCs, manufacturing equipment, Ignition and/or Litmus platforms, MES applications, databases, and enterprise systems. You will provide mentoring and technical leadership for a team of developers while collaborating closely with production, controls, process, and operations teams across the organization.

Location

You must be available to work in-person 5 days a week, in one of the following locations:

  • Norfolk, Nebraska
  • Chemung, New York
  • Brigham City, Utah
Compensation

TOTAL COMPENSATION = $180,000-$208,000, broken down as follows:

  • Base salary range – $130,000-$140,000
  • Annual ROA of 23-33% over the past 5 years!
  • Profit sharing bonus averaging 16% over the past 5 years!
