Job summary

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Team Lead Software Engineer to drive the modernization of our monolith into microservices using .NET stack. You will own architecture decisions, guide backend and data migration, and partner with product and architecture to convert specs into reliable plans.

You’ll lead a distributed engineering team, run regular 1-on-1s, and ensure predictable releases. This is a remote, full-time role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong .NET engineer with C#, .NET 8, and ASP.NET Core experience.
• Deep understanding of web app architecture, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with legacy modernization, monorepo-to-microservices refactoring, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of monolith-to-microservices modernization end-to-end.
• Partner with Product and Architecture to map legacy dependencies and estimates.
• Guide architectural decisions across .NET Core, databases, and frontend integrations.
• Improve day-to-day team workflow with Jira, estimation, and QA collaboration.
• Lead 1-on-1s and drive feedback and process improvements.
