Job summary

Kearfott Corporation is seeking a Staff Algorithm Engineer in New Jersey. You will develop navigation, localization, and estimation algorithms, transitioning from simulations to embedded implementations, and mentor a team across multiple engineering disciplines.

You will work with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, and Python, using model-based workflows, targetting embedded platforms including Xilinx Zynq MPSoC and ARM processors. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• M.S. or greater in Engineering (Aerospace, Controls, or Estimation).
• Ph.D. preferred; 7+ years of experience; US citizenship required.
• Travel ~10% for reviews, meetings, and tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist development, analysis, testing, and production support of navigation, localization, estimation, guidance, control, and sensor fusion.
• Develop and maintain Monte Carlo simulations, covariance analyses, and other evaluation tools.
• Lead or support full-system investigations with simulations and vehicle testing.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate activities across algorithm, software, systems, hardware, and test teams.
