Job summary

eZone staffing LLC seeks an experienced Thermal Spray Process Engineer to lead development and optimization of HVOF, Plasma Spray, Flame Spray, and Twin-Wire Arc Spray coatings in a manufacturing environment. You will own process instructions and provide hands-on production support to improve quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline is required.
• A minimum of 5 years in thermal spray or coatings engineering.
• Hands-on experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, Flame Spray and Twin-Wire Arc Spray.
• Experience operating and optimizing industrial thermal spray equipment.
• Strong understanding of coating properties, metallurgy, and finishing tolerances.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent 3-D modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain thermal spray coating processes for production and new applications.
• Lead end-to-end technical projects including pretreatment, coating, and post-machining operations.
• Troubleshoot coating, equipment, and process issues to improve quality and throughput.
• Perform daily contract review and create precise process instructions in ERP for production.
• Provide production support with parameters, work instructions, and operator training.
• Design fixturing and masking for customer parts as needed.
• Read and create blueprints, drawings, and technical reports.
• Conduct metallurgical analysis and root cause investigations to drive improvements.
• Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment evaluations.
• Interface with customers on coating selection and capability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001, OSHA, and safety policies.
