Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation seeks a Lead Multi-Modality Technologist to coordinate operations across CT, MRI, and PET/Nuclear Medicine. You will lead technologists, ensure QA, review imaging orders, and maintain patient care quality.

You will train staff, manage staffing coverage, and collaborate with radiology leadership to implement SOPs and improvements. A NYS license, ARRT and BLS are required, with multi-modality registry preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYS License and ARRT certification with multiple modality registry.
• BLS certification (New York).
• Multiple modality registry certifications (CT, MRI, PET/NM).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff.
• Perform imaging (CT, MRI, and/or PET/Nuclear Medicine) and general radiological procedures.
• Review imaging requests for appropriateness with radiologist.
• Position patient for best-case imaging.
• Observe patient status and intervene as needed.
• Administer contrast media as ordered.
• Maintain equipment logs, QA, and inspections.
• Train and delegate tasks to technologists; conduct competency assessments.
• Oversee staffing coverage and schedules.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
• Maintain SOPs and participate in accreditation materials.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT for equipment readiness.
• Contribute to workflow improvements and regulatory compliance.
