Job summary

Burkentine Real Estate Group is seeking on-site Superintendents to oversee multi-family and custom home construction projects. You will supervise all phases, ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and codes, and drive on-time project completion.

The role requires coordinating schedules, leading weekly meetings, conducting daily huddles, and enforcing safety and quality standards across subcontractors and trades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable experience as a Superintendent with thorough knowledge of the trades; tract housing & multifamily production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedures; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Generate, manage, coordinate, and execute an overall project schedule; update monthly for senior leadership review.
• Create a 3-week look-ahead schedule linked to the overall plan; maintain personal copy for review.
• Schedule self-performed work, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path for timely completion.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.
• Conduct Daily Work Huddles with Burkentine and subcontractor teams to align daily expectations.
• Perform quality control duties on site.
• Coordinate with project team on ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals.
• Ensure subcontractors execute contracted scope; monitor and resolve conflicts; participate in required inspections.
• Maintain daily written log of site activities; verify deficiencies are corrected.
• Walk units daily to monitor progress and assist in future planning.
