Job Details

Under supervision, the Lead MRI Technologist performs a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and operates scanners to produce detailed tissue images for medical diagnosis. The Lead MRI Technologist prepares pertinent information for physician and care team review, and delivers patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Serves as a technical resource on radiologic procedures, assists in developing and reviewing routine procedures, and participates in quality assurance and performance improvement processes. The Lead also supports department management with administrative and leadership duties as assigned, including scheduling, training, and mentoring staff MRI Technologists, and may act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the regular supervisor.

Job Description

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT (R), (CT) preferred.

AND

Experience:

3 years MRI experience preferred.

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Active MRI certification required.
