Job summary

Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist for a full‑time day shift. The role includes reviewing orders, educating patients, administering contrast when appropriate, monitoring patient status, and preparing equipment and supplies.

About the Team

Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, formerly Sumner Regional Medical Center, is a 167‑bed Level III Trauma Center serving the local community. As an MRI Technologist, Lead you will help provide exceptional care and improve community health.

How You’ll Contribute

• Review patient history and physicians orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR). New hires who are ARRT registered technologists are eligible for cross‑training or transfer. Valid MR registration must be acquired within 12 months of hire or transfer.
