Qualifications

  • Current Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Lead MRI/CT Technologist assists management with overseeing the daily operations of the department technologists, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality and cost management. Assists with ensuring a collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships across modalities and with all levels of staff and faculty. The incumbent will be proficient in the full range of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT), and will maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed, coordinate exams with other services as needed, communicate pertinent patient information with all applicable units, and exercise strict patient confidentiality. On an assigned basis, the incumbent will perform outpatient MRI procedures and CT Imaging at least 70% of the time following prescribed protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Venipuncture Certification
  • Skill converting master files in to reports for departmental use
  • Must be able to participate in on-call rotation
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent MRI and CT experience in an Adult Acute Care Facility
  • May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics
  • Graduate AMA Radiologic Tech program
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • CRT license/certification
  • Associates Degree in Radiological Services
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • ARRT-MR
  • ARRT-CT
  • ARRT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences
