Job summary

Luminary Montessori in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher for the Toddler Community (15 months–3 years). Start is January 2027 for our January 2027 opening.

You will guide children through independent learning, present practical-life activities, and support self-care, toilet learning, and social development, while partnering with families and mentoring an assistant teacher.

Qualifications

• AMI 0–3 / AMS / MACTE credential strongly preferred and credentialing support available.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience with children 12 months to 3 years in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a toddler environment scaled to the child with child-sized furniture and accessible shelves.
• Present practical life and language activities; support self-care and toileting.
• Support toilet learning with families, avoiding pressure.
• Guide social development through grace and courtesy.
• Observe daily and adapt the environment to each child's moment.
• Partner with families through conferences and daily communication.
• Mentor and direct an assistant teacher; maintain health, safety, and ratios.
