Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Children’s House Guide to lead a mixed-age preschool classroom in a Montessori environment that nurtures concentration, independence, and deep learning.

You will observe, plan individualized lessons, and partner with families to support each child’s academic, social, and emotional development, while maintaining a warm, professional classroom that fosters independence and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Montessori diploma for ages 3–6, or willingness to obtain certification (fully sponsored).
• Experience leading a classroom with children ages 3–6 in a school, preschool, childcare, or group learning environment
• Alignment with child-led philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia
• Required ECE or Child Development credits
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in (ECE or Child Development)

Responsibilities

• Observe and support each child's development across physical, intellectual, and emotional domains
• Prepare an orderly classroom that fosters concentration and independence
• Provide individualized and small-group lessons in practical life, literacy, math, and beyond
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families
• Communicate and collaborate with parents to support growth
• Lead the classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose
• Promote independence and self-help skills in children
