Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Children’s House Guide to lead a mixed-age preschool classroom in a Montessori environment that nurtures concentration, confidence, and deep learning.

You will support each child’s academic, social, and emotional development through observation, individualized lessons, and respectful language, while collaborating with families to foster growth and independence.

Qualifications

• Observe each child closely to understand development and support it.
• Experience with group learning environments for ages 3–6.
• Alignment with child-led philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia.
• Requires ECE credits or equivalent and a degree in a related field.
• Montessori credential for ages 3–6 is preferred or sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support physical, intellectual, and emotional development.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly, inviting Montessori classroom.
• Encourage independence by guiding children to do things themselves.
• Deliver individualized and small-group lessons in practical life, literacy, math, and more.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Communicate with parents to support each child’s growth.
• Lead the classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose.
