Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in the United States is seeking a Lead Children's House Guide to lead a mixed-age preschool classroom using Montessori methods. You will tailor lessons, observe and support development, and create an engaging learning environment designed to foster independence and confidence.

You will partner with families, provide individualized instruction, and model warmth and professionalism to inspire a lifelong love of learning in children aged 3-6.

Qualifications

• Montessori diploma for ages 3-6, or willingness to obtain certification (fully sponsored).
• Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a group learning environment.
• Alignment with child-led philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child closely to understand and support their physical, intellectual, and emotional development
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom that fosters concentration and independence
• Encourage self-confidence by supporting children as they learn to "do it themselves"
• Provide individualized and small-group lessons in practical life, literacy, math, and beyond
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families
• Communicate and collaborate with parents to support each child's growth
• Lead your classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose
