Responsibilities

• Performs clinical lab tests with independent judgment in the designated department.
• Assists in supervising technical personnel by monitoring workflow and scheduling.
• Leads and implements project improvements within the department.
• Assists the Supervisor/Manager with documentation and verification of tests, reagents and equipment.
• Reviews QA and QC records and reports problems to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Works with Supervisor to monitor trends in equipment and procedures.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and resolves issues with equipment and reagents.
• Generates incident reports and records corrective actions on QC sheets.
• Reviews and releases test results and reports STATS or Critical results to the interpreting physician.
