Job summary

MITRE Corporation seeks a Lead Modeling and Simulation Analyst to support national-security missions by applying advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical methods. You will work with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable insights and drive mission-focused solutions.

You will join the MITRE M&A division, bringing expertise in math, physics, and programming, and contribute to on-site initiatives across a broad range of high-impact programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field with 8 years of related experience, or 6 years with a Master’s, or PhD with relevant experience
• Experience with operational analysis tools (AFSIM, STK, NGTS, STORM)
• Experience developing and debugging physics-based modeling and simulation tools
• Experience in conducting quantitative analysis of simulation results
• Proven ability to present analysis to non-technical audiences and senior leaders
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Julia, Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica
• Active Secret clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI; U.S. Citizenship required
• On-site presence: minimum 4 days a week

• Develop and apply modeling and simulation tools with technical expertise
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine methodologies
• Shape project strategies to improve modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities
• Communicate findings to stakeholders to align with mission goals
