GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer to drive MBSE initiatives with broad scope and high impact. You will lead cross-functional teams, advance engineering processes, and ensure traceability from requirements to delivery in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires at least 3 years in engineering, a US citizenship, ability to obtain security clearance, and full-time in-office work at GE Aerospace in Evendale, OH.
The Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer will provide leadership for initiatives with broad scope & high business impact. They will have a demonstrated record of project leadership and process excellence. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has some autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. Evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes. Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user’s needs. Systems engineers execute a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.
