Full Time Lead Mobile Response Worker – Mobile Response & Stabilization Services Program, Jersey City, NJ

Overview

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark seeks a Lead Mobile Response Worker to provide counseling, guidance, and referral services to families facing juvenile crises. The role involves 24/7 crisis intervention, case management, and team leadership to defuse emergencies and keep children in safe, stable environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis intervention and assessment, and stabilize clients for 72 hours to 8 weeks.
• Coordinate individualized Crisis Plans that meet family needs.
• Manage discharge and transition services, including referrals.
• Audit client records and implement corrective actions.
• Schedule weekly team coverage and lead daily dispatch teams.
• Assist with team training schedules and monitor resource development.
• Support Program Supervisor with orientation and other supervisory duties.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related human services field.
• 1–3 years of experience with children and families, preferably in crisis assessment and intervention.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish‑English speakers; prior team‑lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
