AARP is seeking a Mobile Tech Lead to partner with cross-functional teams, translate business needs into technical specs, and drive mobile platform initiatives. You will shepherd native iOS or Android development, mentor engineers, and help shape security, performance, and scalable architectures.

The role emphasizes ownership of mobile roadmaps, collaboration with cloud services, and ongoing process improvements, while supporting a hybrid work model within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with strong mobile app focus.
• Deep expertise in iOS or Android native development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift/Obj-C or Java/Kotlin for large-scale apps.
• Experience leading mobile roadmaps, architecture reviews, and modernization.
• Understanding of mobile security, auth, data storage, performance, scalability.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with cloud services and APIs (AWS preferred).
• Ability to mentor mobile engineers through reviews and best practices.
