The Role

We're looking for a Lead Mobile Engineer to take full ownership of the BAXUS mobile experience. You'll drive the architecture, development, and delivery of our cross-platform mobile app, working closely with product, design, and backend teams. We are headquartered in New York City, with flexible remote work options. Candidates open to relocating to NYC are preferred.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of our React Native mobile application, owning everything from architecture to delivery.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to build intuitive, performant, and visually compelling features.
• Implement best practices for testing, reliability, and release management.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of code quality, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Shape the future of our mobile strategy and influence product direction through close collaboration with company leadership.
• Optimize app performance, monitoring, and stability using analytics and crash reporting tools.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, with 4+ years in React Native.
• Experience shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play.
• Strong understanding of mobile UX and platform nuances (iOS and Android).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, OTA updates (via Expo or similar), and release pipelines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment—balancing velocity with quality.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in mentoring and collaboration.
• Experience with blockchain, collectibles, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
