Job summary

Chouest in Louisiana seeks an experienced Crane Operator to safely load, offload, and stage materials, operating Manitowoc 777/888, Liebherr 1280, and other cranes with a 14/7 day/night schedule.

You will supervise the assigned crew, perform pre-use inspections, maintain paperwork, and uphold safety standards under OSHA and company programs, working around ships, vessels, and offshore equipment in the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Valid TWIC Card required.
• Successful completion of Crane Operator Mentor Program.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the assigned crew working with the Crane Operator.
• Operate Manitowoc 777, Manitowoc 888, Manitowoc 14,000, Liebherr 1280 and Cherry Picker.
• Perform pre-use inspections and document logs (time cards, daily inspections, reports).
• Maintain positive working relationships with employees and clients.
• Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and management.
• Submit work orders for billing.
