Lowe’s is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Mobile Apps to shape mobile strategy and lead architecture across Android, iOS, and backend integrations from our Charlotte Tech Hub. Relocation to Charlotte is required and in-office collaboration is essential.

You will drive end-to-end architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with product teams to deliver high‑performing, secure mobile experiences at scale for a Fortune 500 retailer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or related field or equivalent experience
• 10 years of software development experience
• 8 years in frontend technologies, middleware, databases, or DevOps
• 8 years delivering projects across the SDLC

Responsibilities

• Define and execute mobile technology strategy aligned with business objectives
• Own end-to-end solution architecture across mobile and backend systems
• Provide technical leadership across Android, iOS, and cross-platform development
• Architect shared business logic using Kotlin Multiplatform and SDUI
• Drive native development on Android and iOS
• Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs
• Drive automated testing and quality practices
• Champion secure development practices
• Deliver mobile solutions with reliable deployment pipelines
• Lead troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Partner with product owners and engineers to ensure deployment
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs for scalable experiences
