Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer – Merchandising AI to design and optimize production ML solutions powering merchandising decisions. You will work within a Data Sciences team to build scalable models and production pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and help set standards for AI/ML and cloud-native development while collaborating with data scientists, software engineers and product managers to deliver impact across Digital Marketing, Supply

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in quantitative disciplines or equivalent experience.
• MS in CS, applied math, statistics, physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of end-to-end ML development including data pipelines and deployment.
• Strong Python programming and ML/ML Ops practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize production ML solutions for merchandising.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable ML solutions.
• Lead and mentor engineers, establish coding standards, architecture patterns and best practices for AI/ML and cloud-native development.
• Contribute to building maintainable, well-tested codebases with documentation.
