Job summary

May Mobility is seeking a Lead ML Engineer to architect the next generation of mapping and localization for autonomous vehicles. You will own the production-grade lane/route network stack and drive end-to-end data, model development, and deployment strategy across the organization.

You will lead research and feature development, collaborate with ML and Autonomy teams, and build robust evaluation frameworks to ensure reliable, scalable mapping for complex urban and rural environments.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with a strong mathematical and engineering foundation.
• 7+ years of industry experience developing and deploying ML/DL models for mapping or computer vision at scale.
• Deep expertise in object detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D reconstruction; lane-level topology and connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Architect production-grade lane and route network mapping stack.
• Lead research, design, training and validation of neural architectures for mapping.
• Drive feature development from inception to deployment with code reviews and testing.
• Own data strategy for mapping domain including auto-labeling, synthetic data and active learning.
• Develop metrics and evaluation frameworks for lane/route accuracy and scaling across ODDS.
• Collaborate with ML and Autonomy engineers for deployment to vehicle fleet.
