Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Lead Machine Learning / Data Science Engineer to drive end-to-end ML and data engineering solutions for enterprise clients. The role focuses on designing scalable systems, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering data-driven outcomes across platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You will lead cross-functional teams, architect advanced analytics, and help grow CapTech’s ML and DS practices through client engagements and business development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience delivering data engineering and machine learning solutions on cloud platforms.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers in data engineering space.
• Hands-on experience manipulating and analyzing large (multi-billion record) data sets.
• Proficiency with SQL, Spark, NoSQL, and cloud data processing in production.
• Experience with Docker and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Strategize with clients, data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end machine learning solutions and identify new approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate to ensure solutions align with customer needs.
• Deconstruct client needs into data-driven processes/models and analytical measures.
• Analyze and transform large datasets hosted on enterprise data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical solutions leveraging client data (recommender systems, NLP, risk scoring).
• Productionize ML systems with a focus on optimization and scalability.
