Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Lead Operations Engineer to oversee end-to-end mission system lifecycles across air, sea, and surface domains. You will design, integrate, and validate complex systems, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure operational readiness with a focus on security and compliance.

Responsibilities include system architecture, installation, training, software development, logistics, and stakeholder engagement. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with DOD/DHS operational mission systems.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in related fields.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Mission System Design & Engineering: analyze, design, document mission system architecture and requirements, integrating software and hardware.
• System Installation, Integration & Testing: lead installation, configuration, and testing of mission systems across hardware platforms.
• Operational Training & Support: develop and deliver operator training programs for mission systems.
• Technical Solution Development: create, test, and validate software applications and scripts for fleet readiness.
• Enterprise Planning & Solution Mapping: map engineering solutions to enterprise and government objectives.
• Logistics & Configuration Management: manage logistics for mission system hardware and software.
• System Administration & Security: perform account management, security scans, and network troubleshooting.
• Customer Support & Troubleshooting: resolve system issues and support users.
• Documentation & Reporting: produce technical docs and reports.
• Technology Research & AoA: research emerging tech and draft system design ideas.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance: engage with government stakeholders and travel up to 25%.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in technical field

Master’s degree in business, Program Management or related study
