Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Missile Defense Lethality Engineer to join our team in supporting lethality tests and analyses for ballistic and hypersonic defense kill vehicles.

You will help plan and execute tests, analyze results, and inform assessments critical to national security. The role requires a STEM bachelor's with 7+ years in missile defense or DoD programs, active/recertifiable SECRET clearance, and strong skills in hardware design, CAD, and lethality modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of missile defense-related or other complex DoD program experience.
• Active or reinstatable Secret clearance with CNWDI, RD, or FRD eligibility required.
• Strong background in hardware design, system integration, and design engineering; ability to generate technical data packages.
• Experience leading teams to develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for high-level reports and leadership briefings.
• Demonstrated experience with missile defense lethality.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, data analysis software, and lethality Modeling & Simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage DOE laboratory lethality assessments for ballistic missile defense and hypersonic defense kill vehicles.
• Execute hypervelocity impact testing across multiple test venues and coordinate posttest data recovery, analysis, and reporting.
• Develop documentation and deliver presentations detailing methodologies, results, and analyses.
