Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Mechanic A/Journeyman to join our field teams. You will lead crew activities, interpret blueprints, and coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining high safety standards on industrial sites.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic A/Journeyman.
• Knowledgeable in the craft and able to lead others in the same craft.
• Basic leadership/mentor skills are required.
• Able to plan/coordinate multiple job tasks at the same time.
• NCCER Crew Leader Certification is preferred.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acceptance are required.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Upholds company safety guidelines for all employees under his/her direction.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and orders; assigns duties and coordinates work.
• Trains and assists workers; supervises and coordinates activities of construction workers.
• Interprets company policies, enforces safety regulations, and analyzes work-related problems.
• Maintains time, production, and other records; studies schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements.
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
