Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Millwright General Foreman in Clarksville, AR to supervise multiple millwright crews and support project superintendents. You will ensure heavy machinery installations meet safety, budget, and quality standards while coordinating look-ahead schedules and material deliveries.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in refinery maintenance or construction, strong blueprint/P&ID reading, and NCCER or equivalent safety training.

Qualifications

• 4+ years refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Deep expertise in industrial machinery, alignment tools, rigging/hoisting, and reading blueprints, P&IDs, and ISO drawings.
• Ability to assemble, install and test machines and equipment.
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Ability to manage layout and placement of equipment in factory settings.
• Must pass Millwright Skills Test at 70%+ or NCCER certification.
• Matrix Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and site-specific training.
• Active status in the DISA drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee multiple craft crews (up to 6 crews with 5–15 workers).
• Assist superintendents with look-ahead schedules, workflow, labor, and material deliveries.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are installed, aligned, and leveled per specs.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and site safety plans (LOTO, hazard analyses).
• Inspect equipment for defects and plan repairs to minimize downtime.
• Decide when to shut down equipment to prevent damage.
• Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical equipment.
• Attach gears, bearings, and shafts with proper fits; operate drill presses and saws.
• Adjust equipment and coordinate emergency repairs with repair crews.
• Monitor man-hours, approve timesheets, and generate production/quality reports.
