Job summary

Kansas City Missouri School District is seeking a Middle School Head Golf Coach for Central Middle School in Kansas City, Missouri. This role leads the golf program, develops student-athletes, and coordinates practices to maximize potential.

The position reports to the Building Principal and Site-based Athletic Director, adheres to MSHSAA rules, ethical standards, and requires ongoing professional growth. A stipend-based pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of golf coaching philosophy and methods.
• Must complete MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach participants and follow KCPS policies.
• Know and enforce MSHSAA rules and regulations.
• Teach sportsmanship, work ethic, and responsibility to student-athletes.
• Schedule and organize daily practices to develop athletes.
• Teach fundamentals, theory, and strategy of golf.
• Maintain ethical conduct and model sportsmanship at all times.
• Manage equipment and facilities; ensure proper issuance and return.
• Collaborate with the Principal to support a solid program.
