Job summary

Silver Lake Regional Middle School in Kingston, Massachusetts is seeking a head coach to lead the middle school cross-country program for grades 7-8. The role focuses on training, supervision, and the overall development of student-athletes.

Responsibilities include teaching cross-country skills, organizing practice, conditioning athletes, managing facilities and equipment, and regular communication with families. The stipend for this role is $1,442 and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching cross country; experience working with middle school students.
• Previous middle school coaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the skills and strategies of cross-country to student-athletes in grade 7-8.
• Be a role-model and teacher of cross-country, including; practice, game day coaching, conditioning of athletes, supervision of athletes, maintenance of practice facility and equipment.
• Determine awards for students and provide the athletic department with a list of team needs.
• Communicate regularly with families as needed.
