Lead Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician - Nights

Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance. Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed. Loud noises from equipment/machinery. Some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs). Standing for full shift. Various outside weather conditions. Will work with hazardous/toxic materials. Working at heights.

Work Schedule

12 hr shift/days. Rotating schedule from 7pm – 7am (10% night shift differential):

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday — 48 hours
  • Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday — 36 hours

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow quality standards per company policy, cGMP, and FDA requirements, including understanding of cGxP.
  • Troubleshoot & support manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Support rotating shifts and maintenance shutdowns.
  • Provide emergency repairs to minimize line interruptions and perform scheduled maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • An Associate degree in a technical field like electrical, automation, or mechatronics is preferred.
Experience

Required:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, focusing on electrical, automation, or mechatronics.
  • Experience with control and power wiring, low/high voltage (AC/DC, 24v-480v), motors, VF drives, and servo controls.
  • Ability to analyze equipment failures without schematics.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic/test equipment, reading blueprints, schematics, manuals.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Knowledge of PLC formats, especially Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI (SLC, ControlLogix, PanelView).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, motor drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and utility systems.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and industrial automation systems.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical skills in repairing machines and equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools, meters, and reading technical documents.
