Job summary

McCallie Associates Inc, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks a Laboratory Metrologist to lead Metrology Technicians and ensure calibration of M&TE to NASA standards at John C. Stennis Space Center.

You will guide technical procedures, manage tasks, and interface with customers while maintaining QA and safety compliance. Candidates must have metrology leadership experience and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years minimum experience in metrology or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or potential and professional communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; able to obtain NASA PIV badge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in at least two measurement areas (Dimensional, Flow, Pressure, Electrical, Force/Torque, Mass).

Responsibilities

• Performs normal first line supervisor tasks including assigning work priorities and approving PTO and time sheets.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates calibration of M&TE traceable to SI; ensures schedules align with requests and budgets.
• Maintains communication with MS&CL Manager, customers, and program management on status.
• Evaluates capital equipment requirements and participates in procurement justifications.
• Interfaces with customers to enhance planning and coordination of tasks.
